Had a guy I was talking to while enjoying my adult beverages yesterday evening assure me of the following:

He and his buddies buy "Tier 3 Tula 5.56" all the time because they can get it cheaper than "Tier 1" or "Tier 2" Tula. But the coating is corrosive, so you have to wipe down the rounds before you use them, or they'll corrode your barrel and trigger parts. However, once you wipe them down, they're fine, and well worth the hassle because it's only $0.02 a round. He said the coating was the same stuff you get old milsurp rifles coated in (aka Cosmoline).

He's also got several local stores where he gets "Tier 1" Tula for $2.50 per 20rd box...

And I missed out big when a local Bass Pro Shop opened up a few months ago. He and his buddy bought 15,000 rounds 22LR for $150, but it (the $10/1000 price) was an opening-day only special, so I missed out.

A local gunshop is cheating their customers, because they repackage "Tier 3" Tula into "Tier 1" boxes - but it's a conspiracy so that people will ruin their rifles shooting "Tier 3" without wiping it down, and have to buy new parts or new rifles from the same local gunshop.

That is all new too me. I am more like a Tier 4 guy.

I had a guy in Walmart tell me after I said I'm glad I reload because there was no ammo there, that now they make powder and primers so it won't last long. So you can load all you want but after like a year that stuff you loaded is no good anymore. I laughed out loud and walked away. You can't make this shit up.

Met a guy in a bar last month who said he had an AR in .204 Luger that shot 3 inches low at 800 yards. He was from a state a couple to the right of the one I was in and said that we couldn't own AR's in CA. He had never heard of a .22-250 or a .220 Swift. I tried to explain to him that his .204 RUGER was 42" low at 400 yards and off the chart at 800 yards. I asked him since he was such a gun guy if he had been here ... he said yes. I asked him if he hung out in the General Discussion ... yes! I asked him if he new who the staff member Paul was ... nope. Fair enough, did he know Aimless, nope. Nope, nope, nope ... I broke out the phone and pulled up the site and asked him for his user name .... nope.

The same guy told us he had taken and passed the "way too easy" CISSP exam in 45 minutes (it's a 6 hour exam that people claim in the hardest in IT certifications).
