Knowing how questions about drug interdiction dogs usually goes, I almost did not ask for this information here in GD.

While watching this very informative program , I noticed that the dog had rather aggressively indicated on a particular item.
This dog was biting and tearing at this package.

My question's are, and that I hope for serious answer's are,

How often do these dogs inadvertently tear open the dope package,
What protocols are in place in case this happens.

Honestly, not asking to discuss the merits or morality of drug use nor the use of drug dogs in general.
