 Danica Patrick has yet to rule out entering Formula One in 2016. The 32-year-old American currently races for Stewart-Haas Racing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup series, a team co-owned by F1's newest team owner, Gene Haas. "She surely fits the bill,” Haas said in an interview with Formula1.com. "Danica Patrick in one of our cars would be the dream driver. |

I watched the interview and Gene came across to me as tongue in cheek when he said it. Who knows maybe I read his body and facial expressions wrong.. I personally don't think she has what it takes to drive a F1 car and be competitive, not to mention she's getting up there in age to make a move like this. JMHO

Please let her do it.
But please dont let her be the driver of the only US team to compete. She can be a laughing stock for some other country. Jamacia has a bob sled team, do they have an F1 team? Whatshertits woukd be hilarious to see on the starting grid being wrecked or wrecking on the first turn during launch. Her ego could use a bit of a reality check when up against the truly great drivers. |

Even the worst, back of the grid F1 drivers either won or placed very highly in other racing series before getting called up. Even then many end up as reserve and Friday drivers for a season or two. Are you telling me someone is just going to hand her a car? She's won what, ONE race like 5 years ago and crashed out of dozens more. I used to be a huge F1 fan, but with all the restrictions and a push for "green" over fast I'm just getting tired of it all.

For someone that crashes that much it is odd she holds the Indy car record for consecutive starts without crashing.
If anything, I would fault her for not being aggressive enough. Her cup contract runs through 2016 I believe, so I doubt F1 would happen. |

Paul Menard won for the first time in 8 years this weekend (nationwide win). It is interesting to listen to her radio. Often she is very specific in what the car needs and is in control.
