georgeAlt and ALTgirl is the same guy. he listed his birthday on ALTpeachgirl as 12/31/69. the same as his birthday on georgeAlt's profile. although on ALTpeachgirls web site she/he says she/he is 41 years old. now i wish i could post on glocktalk and ask why that is. also on the thread "where is cohiba" georgealt somehow knows i have been banned. HOW? i dont even know at this point. then 10 min later altpeachgirl posts saying i have been kicked off. someone wanna help me out here? |

How do you know it's the same person? A lot of people show 12/31/69 for their birthdate. I assume that date was once the default and if you didn't change it, that's what you got.
Is that the only proof you have that those two people are one in the same? Perhaps the moderators informed that woman that you were banned before telling you? |

i did a little playing and found out alot of these dripple post are started by and continued by people listing thier birthdate as 12/31/69 the same as the system administrator eric.
my theory is that eric and a few pals use this feature to put down disenting posts and to keep the forum "looking" busy. as i said before there is a few that slip-up and post in the wrong character. it used to be a good forum, but, when you start a political post and 4 lines down you get pics of frigging cats and other idiots talking about how cute they are it gets boring. check out how many posts have sweet, cute, adorable, i luv it, my next kitty, ect... puke. |

Most likely the site runs on a unix/linux/bsd type system. Unix time starts at zero and adds one second. The first day unix time starts from? January 1st, 1970. My guess is someone who didn't do a good job programming set the default date for birthdays blank, leaving any record without a 'proper' birthdate in as 12/31/69. Seems like the most likely explanation given multiple DOB's listed as 12/31/69. Don't know why anyone would use unix time for birthdates knowing this limitation, but not all programmers are smart. |

That would make sense. In the MS database world, we very often see NULL dates displayed as 12/30/1899. This as the result of treating NULL as zero, which happens to be midnight, 12/30/1899 in MS's datetime format.
