Ok, I've been letting my beard grow out for the past 2 months.   So itchy...

What is the proper care and keeping of a beard?  Brush it and feed it 22lr?

For me, the itch goes away after week 3 or 4.  I usually just shampoo it when I shower and about once a week I condition it.  When it was fairly long I would comb it after showering.

Mine stopped itching after a couple months. I just use some shampoo/conditioner in it a couple times a week, and brush out the tangles after a shower.

I have a 9 monther right now.

Lots of hand lotion, 4 pumps of Vaseline (have had good luck with other brands too) hand lotion rub in good and then brush

Also use shampoo on it and then conditioner.

Don't wash it- ever- if you can help it.  If you wash it, it will strip the natural oils and it will go frizzy, and irritate your skin.

They make beard cleaner/oil if you get it too funky.

Brushing is good.

I just shaved off 9 months of bread to go in for a job interview last week.

One up side was, I was finally able to eat a Beef N Cheddar with extra horsey. (bring it you haters!)

Itchy?  Does not compute.

Mine is nearing it's fourth birthday.
