Well? Let's hear it.
I'll go first,
I'm not, I've got a friend that I'm dead over heals with, and I can't
break through to the other side with!

Plenty of tail out there.   There is just no reason to get hung up on one girl at your age....assuming you're young.

That being said, I face it with wry wit whenever possible.  I figger if i can make a few people laugh before I die I'll have at least had some fun....

miserable.

i'm starting to come around to the idea that i've just had too much time on my hands. even at work. you know what my work consists of? sitting with my fuckin boots on the desk answering the phone every 3 hours, listening to my co-workers loiter around the water-cooler and verbally jerk each-other off like the ignorant young folks they are.

i'm tired, though. not because of work. im tired because i dont get any sleep. i stare up at the ceiling all night.

but yeah. without going too much into detail, i've been miserable these last 6 months. drinking. arguing. other .. things. the pattern is breaking, though. finally. after all this time, i'm coming back. i'm making an effort. im starting to smile again. i can't complain. things are good. starting to get actual hobbies.. lol.

I'm really happy right now. Just finished a first date with a chick I've been lusting after. She is way out of my league but she said it was the best date she's ever been on.

It's going to be a good week.

Aside from my parents having shitty health, I'm happy. I'm celebrating my 20th anniversary in a couple of months, and my relationship with my wife has never been better.

I'm happy.  Just had major surgery.  Am doing well with my recovery.  Looking forward to getting back to work.  Have a great wife of close to 25 years.  Got a new kitten a week ago and she fell asleep purring on my chest tonight after I bottle fed her.  Am putting together a new ar15 pistol tomorrow.  I am turning 50 in exactly a month and plan on spending some money on something fun.

Life is good.  There will be more downs and then more ups.  That's how life works.

I'm never really happy, but then again, being happy usually makes me unhappy... So maybe I am happy, I don't know

Things were better in Florida.

I've been in a funk since February.
I hate my job, my boss is a backstabbing douche, my counter part in Colorado is barely competent, and Im having trouble finding a new job to get away from that bullshit.
My wife and I aren't really clicking because Ive become a dick because  of work.
Kids are good though and I know this is just a rough patch.

Yep!  Things could always be better, but being a pissy little bitch about that fact is a waste of time.

I'm sitting in a recliner, drinking a fucking awesome beer,  with me dag on me lap,  pretty beautiful awesome girl I just took advantage of sitting 3 feet from me, and my beautiful children in the next room watching black beauty on vhs because they are with me for the next glorious 29 days.  I have 4 more days of leave before I have to go to the first job I've ever been challenged in which makes it frustrated and interesting.  I spent father's day at bass pro with my family.

Right now,  I'm happy.  So happy,  I can not remember being this happy before in so many years.

Ask me this question in 30 days. I will tell a different story.

(My youngest daughter just came out of her room to give me an extra hug and a kiss.  I'm on the verge of tears)

I'm good I'd say. I own guns, graduated college, work in the field I went to school for, pay my loans, pay for my car, work 100 hour weeks (because that's what I asked for) and I have a gf who I made a thread about last night. Do it's not too bad.

I hate my job and the company I work for. My daughter is 16 and gives me new first hand perspective on the movie Sybil. My s.o's 3 kids are all troubled in their own ways, and need constant attention. Our parenting styles oppose their mom's so it frequently feels like we are walking on eggshells to avoid additional conflict or false dcf claims. My s.o has a 12hr 4 on 4 off night shift schedule half his time off includes having the kids, so not a ton of time together. We live paycheck to paycheck and there never seems to be enough and when there is, something always comes up.

On the otherhand....my job affords me some flexibility, allows me to work from home and utilize the little time I have with the s.o. and the kids as best as possible. In this ecomomy it pays fairly well and provides health coverage and benefits. As my daughter is getting older we are having some great conversations and she is still coming to me for advice. I live in a nice home with a beautiful yard and am in awe everytime I look out our back window. My so's kids are coming around slowly, very slowly but they have been happier spending time together than they have been in a while I think. I am more in love than I thought I could be and spend everyday thankful for the things I do have.

So yes, is my answer. I am happy.
