I have been out of work since October, which has been ok, the job I left really sucked but it paid the bills. The severence is running out, and the first really promising job prospect has come along. I will be interviewing for the position next Wednesday afternoon 1/15/03. It is with a city gov. So I won't have to worry about buyouts/layoffs/downsizing. It pays less than what I was making but I won't be driving 100+ miles a day either.

If those of you that pray, would say a prayer for me and my family, I would really appreciate it. And for those of you that don't, just think happy thoughts for me[:)]

LAN/WAN Network Administrator

Most all of the certs, MCSE NT4.0, MCSE W2K, MCP+I, CCNA, CCNP, A+, Toshiba TAT, and decent experience.

But the market is soft here, they got 95 resumes, and I don't know how many are being interviewed. While I know I was the first resume they received, they did schedule other interviews before mine.

Prayer's on the way Dave. IT is rough business these days, but you're right- GOV is the place to be! Keep the faith- all things happen for a reason, and often we don't see the steps till we look back- God guides us where we need to go.

Being first app in but 14th to interview is a good sign. They have to eliminate the
"we dont want him but have to give him the interview anyway" types.
Then they have the "maybe's"
Then they get around to the ones they REALLY want to talk to!
