DETROIT (Reuters) - The Detroit auto show has seen a lot of concept cars over the decades, but a four-wheel motorcycle powered by a 500-horsepower V-10 engine is a first.

And it may turn out to be more than a concept.

DaimlerChrysler AG's Chrysler arm on Monday unveiled the Dodge Tomahawk -- essentially the 8.3 liter engine from a Dodge Viper mated to a motorcycle frame. Chrysler executives said while the chrome-draped Tomahawk was outlandish, they were seriously considering whether to build a few hundred at a price of at least $250,000 each.

No more leaning into the turns. Looks like a fun straight line machine, but cycles are for twisting and turning roads.

JEEZ!!!   Well, I bet Jay Leno's mouth is watering.

My guess is, each wheel is indepentently suspended and will still turn via leaning and counter steering.  But, it's definately more of a motorcarcycle.....they need to get that thins down to Bonneville pronto! Maybe Chuck Yeager would be willing to give it a spin on the salt.....

Hopefully, my  yacht will be paid off by the time they are in production.

Why bother.
You can get a turbine engined motorcycle that will out perform that thing a thousand times over for about 40% less. ($185,000)

I went and read the rest of the numbers on your super bike. Now you go read the rest of the numbers on the Tomahawk. Hint: The Tomahawk would eat your super bike for breakfast. It's that scary.

Except that the Tomahawk has a Dodge Viper motor and it wouldn't last long enough for a comparison!
