I've done some looking and I can't seem to find anyone who makes a tactical light for the 1911 series pistol (like the M6 light for the glocks and berettas). Does anyone know a place where I can get one for my Colt?

edited to add: sorry, shoulda posted in the firearms discussion[pound], but responses still appreciated.

I'm not at home right now but I have a Surefire produced magazine at home that had one. I'll get it tomorrow and let you know.

I guess it depends upon the pistol.  Does yours have light rails?  The Surelight M3 works well on a Springfield Operator, for example:

No, mine's just a regular 1911, no rails.

Do you have a website or a link to the people that make the mounts or drillings?
