As an owner of a 1999 F-150 it looks like I will be getting the '04...I have always liked F-150's and that new model looks GOOD.

f150world.com had pics, but took em down till tomorrow to appease the FMC. Main items of interest to me were 4" longer cab, and more powerful 5.4 L engine (3 valve job).

I realize this is subjective, but it seems truck manufacturers come out with a decent design run, then a butt-ugly one, then they rework it again so it looks good, then ugly.
I have hated the present-day F-150. What a piece of sh!t. I don't care for GM products, but my dad has an '01 2500HD and it looks good. Now, Chevy redesigned it to look like...well, you know. Dodges don't look half-bad. Since the redesign in '93 (and the most recent one) they've been pretty good looking. I have an '01 F-350 and it's pretty good looking. |

Is that piece of plastic or tape covering it up? Looks basically the same with a few minor tweaks here and there.
DanM, do you know if that 4" longer cab comes with a 4" shorter box? That wouldn't appeal to me. I'm keeping my '99 F-150 for a few more years. The only complaint I have about the design is that I can't add foglights without swapping the front bumper for an SVT... big bucks. I know about the foglight mod on F150online.com, but it doesn't appeal to me. |
