[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Is there a paper trail on LEO equipment?

I was just wondering if, when a firearms dealer sells a LEO/Military item such as hi-cap mags do he/she have to keep a file on record of who purchased that and with what credentials? I'm just curious. Thanks for your time.

Damn troll! Get your ugly ass outa here! Anyone who has READ anything here knows that a civilian CANNOT LEGALLY PURCHASE LEO and RESTRICTED POST BAN MAGAZINES. Quit baiting us. It won't work.

Yes there are paperwork requirements. Yes the magazines pretty much go traveling around willy nilly. The weapons are regulated tighter than the magazines but not all LEOnly guns are marked so even some of them have traveled from the police dept onto gunshow tables or direct to civilian hands.

Just don't get caught with LEO marked stuff and check every firearm with the manuf. to see if it is indeed preban.
