Otherwise they may end up like this poor girl.
I am a 16 year old female and a junior in public high school. Even though I was very young, I vividly remember Clinton and Rock The Vote. Thanks to Mr. Moore, and the sad state of the nation I am being forced to grow up in without a say, I am extremely interested in politics. Unfortunately, I am in the minority in my age group. You are exactly right; the youth of America doesn't care. Yet some of them are pissed off, and rightly so, about the state of the nation and our idiot president, and decisions being made for us in our own schools without anyone asking our opinions on how things are working. I think MTV does need to get more involved again, but we need candidates who care that the youth get involved. Clinton seemed to care about the younger generation, that’s why Rock The Vote worked for him. I want to change things, I'm sick of how things are now and I am going to make a difference, and more of the youth need to get involved, and they will with motivation. It is on you, the adults to talk to us about politics, and ask our opinions. You will probably be surprised to hear what we have to say. Encourage your children to vote and get involved. We are the adults of tommorrow, and if we don't care now, what will the percentage of voters be when we are adults?
