Depending on the laws in your state it could easily rise to the level of a felony if the window was expensive enough. I don't know where there is hypothetical window is, but if caught I'd lean toward-weekend in jail, bailed/released on monday, charged with felony plead down to misdemeanor (if this is not the politcial party in control of the area and we are talking only one window) restitution maybe 6 months of weekends in jail, about 3 years probation and name change to CivilianThug.
