Which do you prefer? Donuts only, don't use the coffee as an excuse for one over the other.

Not to be stereotypical here, but all the Dunkin Donuts in Cincinnati are owned by Indians. They do a really awful donut.
Krispy Kreme, hands down. I own some stock in the company - LEOs everywhere... feel free to indulge at the Kreme. |
|
if i can't have Shipley's Donuts i will take Dunkin Donuts over Krispy Kreme.

I can't go back to Dunkin Donuts after having Krispy Kreme's.

Krispy Kreme rocks!!!
We used to have a couple of small "Mom and Pop" donut shops around here when I was a little kid, and they put Krispy Kreme to shame. And even the cops in my city won't go to a Winchell's unless the store has been robbed. [:D] |
|
Krispy Kreme hands down...does everyone have an actual distribution location in their locales? I know we have one that handles DC, MD, VA right down the road from me, it's kind of in the "hood" but nothing beats the hot donuts.

Krispy Kreme are totally different than normal winchells, dunkin, safeway or whereever donuts. If you have not had them HOT...do so.
|
|
Krispy Kreem sux, and it's an oxy moron. How can it be Crispy AND Creamy? Is it a quantim physics donut? No it's just an almost lighter than air concoction supersaturated in sugar. Drunkin Donuts fer me!

Since I can't opt for Horton's, then I'll have to choose DD - KK's are just too damned sweet for me.

Dunkin's not the greatest, but KK is way too sweet. Might as well just eat raw sugar.
Mom and pop places are usually the best. Horton's isn't bad at all, though. |

We don't have any KK here ( as far as I know) we have D-D, Doughnut Connection (used to be Mister Doughnut), and there is also Daily Doughnut (mom and pop)..... all their coffee is decent but the local "pump n dump" has green mountain coffee... That is good coffee.

Dunkin Donuts : 26% View Quote Why? Could someone that voted for Dunkin Donuts tell us why you did so? If I want to eat something hard and chewy, I'll chew on a piece of rubber. A coworker lost a crown trying to knaw on one.z |

OK I have some expertise, I carry a badge and gun...LOL DD is better for e, KK has way too much sugar in them. I get a headache.

Krispy Kreme. But the Donut Shop at lake chelan would put any donut shop to shame.

My professional experience tells me to go with Dunkin Donuts. The local franchise closed a few years ago. It's been several years since I've eaten Donuts regularly. Locally we have not experienced the surge in K.K. franchises. I was unimpressed with the K.K.'s I've had in the past. So of the two I chose D.D.. Most of you might say that I'm a Cop who doesn't know his donuts. I guess there is something fundamentally wrong with that.

I haven't had a donut for years. Those things will kill ya'!
The best donuts I ever had was this little hole in the wall shack in the Adirondack Mountains that deep fat fried them in lard, rolled them in sugar, shot em' up with jelly and handed them to you while they were still hot. |

Just wait for the "Hot Donuts Now" sign to come on and cops from miles around come flying with lights and sirens. |

I love those Krispy Kreme donuts.... They are a heavenly experience.
|
|
Shipley's donuts feckin' rock. The 'Bama boys in Birmingham know what I'm talking about. I always used to hit the Shipley's on Lorna Ave in Hoover back when I was in college.
|

Donuts make me feel like crap after I eat them. Work used to get them from the local shop on Fridays, they were pretty good but I just gave up from the I'll feeling. Tried a KK but it made me feel just as bad.
I could go for a good spudnut though. |
|
Krispy Kreme's all the way. I can eat half a dozen and not get sick. Plus wallking into a KK while they're making fresh donuts is like walking into heaven. The only thing that could be better would be if Heather Graham and Tyra Banks were the ones handing out free donuts.
DD's taste like anything I can buy in the supermarket for less. So why would I buy their donuts for more? Plus, someone I went to high school with worked at a dunkin donuts. They told stories about the fruit filling containers having layers of dead flies on top. They just scraped them off an used what's below the layer [puke] |

Warm Krispy Kremes.
Lou Holtz called them "the crack cocaine of the South!" |

Krispy Kreme's are doughnuts... if I wanted cake cut in circles I'd get cake, and not Dunkin Doughnuts...
Just my opinion though Jonathan |
|
Krispy Kreme for me. dont have a DD around here. used to be only the QFC, Safeway, and Albertsons stuff. Some of my firneds work at KK too.
|
|
One of the local TV morning shows did a story on how KK makes their doughnuts at the KK bakery in Louisville. The part that really stuck out to me was seeing how they make the glazed. Basically a conveyor belt of freshly baked doughnuts passing underneath a waterfall of glaze. [shock] I'm talking a solid waterfall of nothing but sugar glaze.
I couldn't decide if it was the coolest thing I had ever seen or the most sickening. |

Hmmm...won't let me vote.
Gotta go with the Krispy Kreme though. |

Krispy Kreme all day. Especially right after they roll off the glazer, nice and hot.
