Currently it's headed to federal courts due to 2 lawsuits filed against it Constitutionality - one of which has been filed by the NRA.

I refer to this law as the "Peter Jennings Empowerment Act".

I am disgusted that GW signed it.  I'm [b]hoping[/b] that he signed it with the knowledge that he [b]knew[/b] it would be struck down in the courts.

It's a clear violation of at least the First Amendment - the federal government telling the people they can't talk (TV ads, etc.) about certain subjects before an election!!!???

Unbelieveable.

Are there any restrictions regarding who can and can't talk based on the size/characteristics of the target audience?

Yes IIRC PAC's can't mention a candidates name 30 days prior to an primary election or 60 prior to a general election. There's also verbage about media that can reach over 50,000 people. (Dunno if the internet counts). FWIW
