I knew a guy in college that made his own bombs for a while. Mostly little stuff a little bigger than most fireworks, just for kicks. Then him and some other guys made a pipebomb and blew it up way out in the country. Apparently the explosion was much bigger than what they expected and they decided to call it quits for fear of getting caught.
