A friend is going to have twins soon. They know now that there's a girl and a boy!

The parents were throwing around some names among a small circle of close friend and need more help. The names have to be afro-centric.

So far the most popular names are:

Jawanda

and,

Rayshawn

Please feel free to add some more to consider. Thanks so much.

Shaka was a great warrior-king.  So was the Ethiopian king Haile Salassie who the Rastafarians worship might also be good.  They worship him mainly because he beat back some European army.  Probably Italians.  That fact alone made him a god in many Africans' eyes.

Maybe name the boy Shaka and the girl Haley/Haile?

"The names have to be afro-centric."

Why?  Are they living in Africa.  If not, and if they are Americans, I suggest Jack and Jill or something like that.  They should have American names.
