I do not know if this is true or not.  Supposedly there is a bill in Indy that is wanting to ban machine guns in Indiana.  I heard about this today from someone who heard it on the radio.  Can anyone confirm this?  I have yet to find anything, so hopefully it's just a rumor.

And, surprising absolutely no one with regard to location, party, or color, here's the bill's author:

Let's raise a little stink about it, but this is never going to pass.  No one outside that sewer known as 'The Region' gives a rat's ass about what those scumbags think.

QuietShootr is correct.  This one has no chance of passing.  I say that because I am involved in politics in Indiana and know the people who have the power to step on these bills like they are crushing a cockroach with the heel of their boot.

I've been in Vernon Smith's office in the Statehouse and was struck by the portraits of Malcom X on the wall.  Let's just say this...and leave it here:  A guy like Vernon Smith is tolerated by his fellow Democrats in the Legislature.  The fact that he is black and a closet racist wins him no friends among the white, political conservative Democrats from southern Indiana who he needs to push this legislation through.  It just ain't gonna happen.  Trust me on this one guys.

If anyone wants to know what Representative is the best to contact when gun control rears it's ugly head in Indianapolis, feel free to e-mail me.  This Rep just loves to kill bills like this one!

I think we would all appreciate it if you were to post that info in the Indiana forum.

Mods, could you please move this topic to Indiana?

Thanks!

It might me nice to keep it in the GD as well.  Can the topic be copied, or does it have to be moved?

The scary part is the "Machine gun ammo" thing!
That covers a LOT of calibers. I started counting and quickly ran out of fingers on this one. I had to take off one shoe!

No kidding. That covers every single common caliber out there if you include submachineguns, even .22LR!

The People's California socialism knows no state bounds.
