No such thing as energy efficient microwave.  Watts in = heat out.



Buy the smallest one you can find that will meet your minimum interior height requirements and forget about it.  There's just not a big difference in microwaves from one brand to another.



Sharp, Panasonic, any of the major brands, whatever.



While we're at it, there is no such thing as an energy efficient: clothes dryer, range, wall oven or cooktop.
