Inquiring minds want to know.
Question answered. Don't want this to become a YHM bashing thread. |
god i hope so, or i can't post the build i'm working on.
i can never keep up with who we hate.
I've got a fairly new YHM Cobra M2 suppressor and it's been fine.
I put them in the same boat as Midwest Industries. I've always considered them to be in that mid-level quality, like nicer than UTG/Crapco but not quite at the level of the upper-tier manufacturers (too many to list...you know who I'm talking about). I think they make decent quality stuff at a fair price point, and they fill that niche for those that want something better than UTG but don't have the funds to shell out $250+ on a rail.
I'm being somewhat vague on purpose because I don't want to type a novel [img]http://www.ar15.com/images/smilies/smiley_abused.gif[/img ETA: I'm referring to their accessories. I have no experience with their cans. YMMV. |
I missed something, what's up with YHM? I've had no problems with their products or service.
I've been running a couple of YHM folding front sight/gas blocks on my AR's and really like them.

I have a YHM mite, cobra and phantom, please tell me that I don't have to throw them out now.
They were the first company I ever bought an AR part from, have to go check them out since it's been a while.

I put one of they're free floats on one of my carbines, it's very nice.
GTG. Wish I could support a local company by owning one of their suppressors though.
OK, I thought they were on the big ARFcom ignore list.
I want a 4 inch rail and it's between them and Sampson. |
Uh-oh, who did they hire?
A rumor is just a fact waiting to be born. |
It's not the most fashionable but consistently durable and reasonably priced. I've always had good experiences with them.

I have a YHM rail and I love their iron sites. I have 2 sets. They're my favorite set of iron sights on the market.
I'd buy more YHM anytime. |

View Quote You can pay more for flash and bling, but at the end of the day, a product like a FF handguard serves two functions: 1) a place to hold your rifle, and 2) a place to hang shit on your rifle. Spending more gets you a fancy looking FF handguard, but doesn't do anything to make it more functional-just heavier. Midwest is the best thing going for slim, light weight handguards. BTW: UTG's new slim hanguard is made in the USA and is actually a very nicely made FF rail. If the price weren't so close to what Midwest offers, I'd have no problem rocking one on a build. They get cerakoted anyway.... |
Their flash hiders work well, especially for the price. Theirs are about the only ones I use.

I think you should leave out he "and".
Yes, we still do. Pretty sad you are asking others what you can buy. |

I used to believe that, thinking others knew something i didn't, until i saw the bitching that was going on about "top tier lowers" from Noveske. The shit some people pay twice as much for is ridiculous. People are just fickle and jump on what ever fan band wagon the other cool kids are lusting after. people getting bent on shit like this. If my gear is mid quality at half the price because of shit like this then i got zero issues with mid grade gear. http://sgcusa.com/images/supporting_images_large/Noveske_Blem_Detail_Example_E.jpg View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:
