My dad recently got his CCW, and he's looking to buy a small gun to carry. He wants a small, single stack 9mm, but the catch is that he's a lefty. What are our options here? The Sig 290 looks like the best option at this point, but the slide stop isn't ambi on that one. The Shield, XDS, and LC9 are out of the picture. Budget would be around $650 out the door. Are there any obvious choices I'm overlooking? Does Sig make something fully ambidextrous that would fit the bill?

Walther PPS 9mm, mag release is ambi but slide release is not.

Why does the slide stop need to be ambi? I use my right hand to pull back the slide and push up the slide stop button. Don't use the button to release the slide. And I use my middle finger on the mag release.
