I suggested burgers for dinner tonight. Wife wanted something more unique than just a plain burger with cheese and bacon. Regale me recipes of your interesting and unique burgers. Wife and dinner pics will be posted later! Burgers will be cooked on a BGE.

No offense to any recipes, but at what point are you making burger shaped meat loaf patties and not hamburgers?
Finely chopped jalapenos and Lowry's is awful good...FWIW |

Don't buy into these grilled meat loaf recipes.
50% Ground Chuck (80/20) 50% Ground Sirloin Fresh ground pepper and kosher salt to season Preferably freshly grind and mix your own from cuts of meat in a food processor or meat grinder . But i've had good results with fresh ground store ground. Just ask the butchers to grind you a piece of meat you select. Fresher is better. I won't insult your intelligence with directions on how to grill em. I prefer a charcoal fire. Using different toppings to dress them up and make them unique. Think of the burger as a base you can layer flavors onto. Teriyaki sauce and grilled pineapple is one i have enjoyed. |

mix a smudge of cream in, with a little garlic powder, s&p. form into patties, make a dent in the middle, grill, enjoy

|
2.5 lbs ground sirloin
.5 lbs finely chopped bacon 1.5 cups blue cheese crumbles 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce Fresh ground pepper to taste Mix all ingredients in a large bowl, form into 8 equal sized patties and grill. Sharp cheddar is the best topping for these.

I should probably note that I realize there is a fine line between meat loaf patties and burgers. Some of the suggestions are good and some are just meh. What about your favorite toppings? Mine have always been a good onion ring, mayo/ketchup mix, bacon, lettuce and tomato and occasionally a sunny side up egg.

Cheese, saute'd mushrooms and sometimes bacon Fresh made guacamole Oddly enough, hummus. |

Lamb burgers.
In a mixing bowl add lamb, fresh rosemary, a bit of Worcestershire sauce and Gorgonzola crumbles. Mix together and make patties. Put a hole in the centre of the patty. It cooks more even that way. |

Go to a butcher's shop.
Get 2lbs of beef or whatever 1lb of bacon Have them grind it all into one delicious mixture. |

1. Mix up a little spread (mayo, relish, ketchup, touch of sugar, splash of vinegar):
2. Dice, and grill some onions. Add ~1/4 cup of water every time the skillet gets dry. Keep this up for about an hour, low and slow: 3. Toast some buns: 4. Lay on the spread (prep for two burgers shown): 5. And da pickes: 6. Ta-maters: 7. Crisp Lettuce: 8. Two ounce patties (I use a press), with mustard on one side - this is for one burger: 9. Flip! Add some cheese. Not shown - Top one of the patties with some of the grilled onion: 10. Stack them bitches: Enjoy. Questions? |

Best trick to great burgers is to press your thumb in the middle to form a small bowl. You can squirt a little Worcestershire in there if you wish. The purpose is to allow even cooking and not have it too thick in the middle like burgers tend to do once on the heat.

Helps keeps things juicy and really sets off the bacon flavor! |
