Is there such an animal, or is there a conversion for it?

Thanks.

Had one.  Loved it, when it worked.  I hear they are still making them, wonder if all the bugs are worked out...

Many of the serious Australian shooters run 1911's in .357 sig, so the bits must be readily available - it's a cool little case!

ETA: IPSC Shooters I might add.

I'd think you could convert one from .40 or 10mm easily enough. Barrel, maybe a different recoil spring. . .

I love 357sig and I love 1911s, but I'm in agreement with you.  Why?

I have trouble trusting 1911s chambered for "short" cartridges, but that's just me.

I was going to say Coonan as well, but we all know this is a waste of time. 10mm ftw.

This.  38 Super +p is pretty ferocious.

If you're going to restrict yourself to a .45 ACP/10 mm length platform, then at least get a cartridge that makes use of it

I remember that in the mid/late 90's someone made barrels in 357SIG. 5 1/2 or 6" iirc
