Here's my suggestion (assuming you're creating original content on a regular basis):
PLEASE for the love of God, save some of your beer money (or whatever) and buy a decent microphone. You don't need a $500 studio mic, just something a step above whatever is in your webcam, or that POS headset you're wearing.

Mine would be to edit the videos down to the good part, and not make the viewer sit through the first 50% of the video where nothing is happening.
Often I skip immediately to the 1/3 point in a video because almost always the beginning is just a waste of time.

And another thing, don't chop off the action immediately after the climax. We see this way too often. In the example below, I want to savor a bit of the aftermath. Can he move? Is he dead? Anything broken and dangling? Where's the blood? So many unanswered questions...  |
