There is a long history of effiminate men in Hindu culture, who don't consider themselves male. This isn't the least bit surprising - I'd imagine the same would happen in Thailand.

We aren't talking about the LGBT crowd in the US here - we're talking about a caste in India that has existed for thousands of years. This isn't a matter of "sexist" or "PC", it's a matter of people getting equal representation under the law. Consider it equivalent to the Civil Rights Act in the US. |
