I don't know what you guys think about conducting clandestine raids on the DU, but I just have to. That place is scary...

I'm beginning to scare myself.  I've been posting there for less than 24 hours, trying to build "cred", and I've been lurking there so long I know all the jive and shorthand and I know just what to say and how to say it......it's like second nature.

Anyway, it'll be worth it once I have enough posts I will be taken seriously when I call someone who disagrees with me a "Freeper" and have them banned.  Heheheh.

No, I am Jiffypop. I am using another tactic. Confuse them with their own sh!t. Sound like a real looney.

What the hell is a "freeper?"  BTW, it is impossible to stray from the party line at DU.  I've been banned maybe 20 times.  Never lasted more than about 12 posts.  That place is utterly unreal.

Go to www.democraticunderground.com

Copy and paste into a new browser window. Clicking on a hotlink gives the webpage you're going to the address of the webpage you came from. Can't have the DUers knowing that lots of "disruptors" are coming from ar15.com.

DU is shorthand for www.democraticunderground.com

Please dont hotlink the URL.  It allows them to know we're watching them/they might retaliate.

Their mentality is unreal.  They're very bitter, spiteful people who sit around hating George Bush, Republicans, and talk about what great men Gore and Clinton were.

It was pretty interesting comparing their posts on Christmas to your guys'.  What a bunch of miserable wretches.

I spent several months at DU, almost exclusively in the "Gun Dungeon," irritating and confusing the enemy.  Finally they threw me out for being a "disruptor" - but they had to find something I'd written offsite to do it.

I feel about DU the way Robert Heinlein felt about visiting the Soviet Union:  Once educational.  Twice is masochism.  I learned everything I needed to learn from those clowns.  Going back now would be like picking at the scab.

I've got no problem with the "no hotlinking" policy, but I really think you're overestimating their retaliation abilities.

How many hours did it take them on election night to figure out that the "All your Senate are belong to us" popup was javascript embedded in certain messages?  Those guys are not exactly mental giants.

LOL!! That must have been hilarious! I can see it now, millions of Democrats getting javascript popups, and they can't figure out where they came from. Oh, the cursing that must have happened.

Still, no hotlinking to sites with opposing views is good policy. They may be dumbasses, and they probably have a fraction of our membership, but they can still cause various kinds of trouble if they find out and get pissed. I certainly don't want to cause trouble for the Avilas by doing something like that.

Nov. 5 was a red letter day, for sure.  The DU moderator fucks installed a Stalinist clampdown on anyone who criticized any Democrat candidate (there are a lot of Greens, socialists, anarchists there who criticize mainstream Democrats for being too much like Republicans, not radical enough).  They thought criticism on their pathetic board could affect election results [rolleyes]

To sit back with a nice glass of champagne and watch them go catatonic and hysterical at the Republican capture of the Congress and White House was so sweet.  So many of them said "This is it.  I've had it with politics and this site.  I no longer care."

It was also great watching them theorize why they lost:

"The conservative-controlled media!"

"We aren't leftist and radical ENOUGH!"

"What?!?  The voters don't care about prescription drug subsidies?  We owned that issue!"

Too funny.

There once was a group called DU,
That had me so pissed, you have no clue.
I tried to reason, I tried to explain
I just got frustrated, it was all in vain.
They called me a freeper, they called me a clown!
A waste of my time, it all boiled down.
DU is a waste. They call Berkley a college?
So to ARFCOM I went, for better common knowledge.

If you guys see a wacky loon there spouting 'bout how nobody but the military should have guns (yuck, gives me shivers just saying it), you'll know it's me.

Have you ever said something in such a way that in saying it, you were actually saying the opposite?

Sheesh, I better not get confused down there!

WG - You are going to have to be more specific with your description.  I have seen plenty of looons claiming the same.

Don't share it.

The wads over at Delta Uniform are too worried about and focus their efforts way too much on Free Republic frequenters and don't see/report/ban those who have been alerted to DU via other forums.

However, I don't doubt there are DU posters who have lurked/posted on ARFCom.  I hope they are interested to see how dissenting opinions and views are tolerated and discussed here (by a bunch of right wing bigots and gun nuts!/sarcasm) and not automatically deleted and banned.

I have been banned atleast 5 times and one time, (at liberal camp) I was banned after a single post.  They talk the talk but don't walk the walk.  The behavior on DU pretty much typifies left wing behavior in the real world.  Personally, it scares the pole off of me that they can be so short sighted and myopic in their views.

I still chuckle over that.  I lurk at the DU website alot just to get a line on what they're thinking.  To know my enemy, as Sun Tzu instructs.
