Isn't the Hwy Patrol essentially the state police of Texas? TX has lakes, a river next to a lot of crime and coast on the Gulf.

There are actually six (6) of those purchased by the Texas DPS for patrolling the Rio Grande against the drug cartels.
The boats are mfg by Yellowfin Yachts just down the street from my shop here in Bradenton,Fla. They sport a fully armored front section, armored side panels, ballistic 'curtains' plus mounts for six M240 LMG's - twins in the bow and two single mounted guns aft of the cockpit, both port and starboard. |
