I spent two summers working on the original research for my honors thesis.
The dude that went before me when we presented them wrote a fucking short story. I could have done that in a weekend. The standards for different colleges within a university are laughable. |

Good god I don't miss college. What a waste. The drinking and football games were epic but the actual learning was a joke. I don't feel that I learned anything that should not have been covered in highschool. The academic types that sit around and stroke each others' egos all day and the arrogant College grads that occupy the halls of power in this country are turning my country into a shithole.
The drive to force kids into college as some type of Necessity only serves to enslave them into college debt for the most part, college debt which the government now owns. But on the plus side, I can't help but feel a little optimistic that the tide is slowly changing thanks to people like Rush Limbaugh and Mike Rowe who are pointing out that college is not the Be-all to End-all that the intellectuals want. |

I'm pretty sure this is why they killed the journalism program at my old college. Lots of woman's studies of X cropping up in journalism courses and I had to take one. For the life of me, I dunno what the fuck the stuff we were exposed to had to do with journalism.
