I like that. I'm not an AK guy, but have been considering one at some point. Rocking mags in would need some practice though. To clarify, you put on the two clamps and then just screwed the magpul for-end onto those, right?

Then dremel a little inside the forend for the clamp to have clearance and then bolt it together. 15 minutes to do. |

How does that stand up to a smoking hot barrel? Last polymer hand gaurd a I had on my Mak 90 melted to the barrel from doing mag dumps haha

Does it have to be the 870 model? I bought one for my mossberg 500 but it won't work on my shotgun.

Mine looks like a converted Saiga 308.
It's the people expecting an AK and getting a 308 fireball from a 16" barrel that makes them wander over at a range.
