Two words: SERPA and XD.

Huh, I always spot them from the unconcealed gun on their hip.
Wait, over the internet? I don't know, magic probably |

I always noticed open carriers around where I live are always wearing Affliction tshirts.

How to spot an anti open carry guy on a gun forum.....
They can't stop talking about open carry. |
|
To be fair, sometimes open carry guys ride Segways through grocery stores I'd hate to label all Segway owners, though........

I almost never OC, but if I did, what should I use instead of Serpa that's not a thumb-break retention strap?

The only people that talk about open carry more than the OC guys are the anti OC guys.
I carry a Glock 26 in a kydex holster. |

Nope. I only have a Serpa for my XD to carry while hunting. Then last year I bought a G17 to fill that role, and the XD stays in the Old Faithful IWB

I have an XD45 and a Serpa and I don't open carry.
The XD always goes bang and is quite accurate enough. I don't have the slightest reason to complain. The Serpa has never failed to do its job, either. Again, I don't have the slightest reason to complain. I don't get it...AT ALL...why some people feel the need to put down these products even a little bit. My two .45s are my XD and my WWI vintage 1911. They're both great guns that get the job done, but 1911 only eats ball ammo. The XD, on the other hand, will chamber an empty shell from the magazine. |

Too tacticool for me
Trooper Mk III in leather holster on my webbelt and ammo pouch with 3 speed loaders |

The OC guy I saw at walmart actually had an XDm and sure enough it was in a SERPA.
Glad I have a Crossbreed for my XD. Would a Raven Concealment OWB covered by a shirt make me an 'OC guy'? |

Half the guys I work with run level II serpas and their guns are like 75% exposed. |

Granted I do see a lot of shit gear being open carried but when I OC it's with a P226 MK25 and s safari land retention holster
|
|
Typical arfcom fashion, bitching about what others do. Stop hating the things I like, and stop liking the things I hate.
|

|
OH GUISE. I forgot to add. A lot of my coworkers I've talked to say they love their level II Serpas cause when they draw their fingers come perfectly resting on the trigger.
ETA: We aren't allowed to carry XD's I forgot to mention so there is that. |
|
I have a XD and a Serpa , but I dont open carry with it unless Im in the woods/ fields ect , I carry in my cross breed normally .The serpa is nice when you are climbing over and around stuff and not having to worry about the gun falling out , I keep mine in the console of the truck so its there when I need it . Where I grew up no one pays attention to someone OCing , hell you can walk into the napa with a rifle slug and it would not raise an eyebrow . Where I live now Ill see someone Ocing about 2 or 3 times a month , when we had a buffet it was guaranteed you would see one every time you went .
I used to open carry alot , but that was with a 1911 in a leather holster . |

I OC a S&W 329PD in a Safariland 567 paddle holster. I don't know if that's tacticool enough for the OC Fudds, but I don't give a shit what they think anyway. |

It's funny how people went from circle jerking over a holster to calling it crap.
