Awesome show. Hope someone keeps making it. Best Scifi show on right now IMO. They should have aired this pilot as the actual pilot, might have kept more viewers around...

the_beer_slayer and I have watched it every Friday since it's been on. We love it and hope that it won't be canceled. It's an awesome show.

I've liked Firefly from the beginning, but tonights 2-hour "pilot" was excellent! I can see how network execs might cringe a little with the violence and non-PC thinking of the characters. I for one think that's what makes the show so great. I hope the fans wont let it get canned for good.

Damn! I missed it. Had the VCR set up but nodded off a few minutes before it started (starting work at 3:00am...)[sleep], woke up 5 minutes in, freaked & grabbed the remote to start the vcr & went back to sleep. This morning went to watch it & the POS vcr never started..[:(!][pissed]

I've watched every episode and loved the pilot. Wished they showed that first. Anyway, I hope Joss somehow gets this series to stay on TV. I've heard he is in love with the idea of Firefly so I hope he somehow gets his wish.
Btw, of course the Companion is HOT. I mean, who would want an ugly one. [:D] |

I hope it survives. It kills me the way shows are written off in six to eight weeks now. This is a good show and I hope someone be it broadcast or cable pick it up. Anyone recall a show called Freedom.......or Soldier of Fortune (later Special Ops Force)
Good shows with todays news as story lines that due to lack of promotion or bad time slots didnt make. Hell look at Star Trek. Biggest mistake NBC ever made. They didnt have a clue what it would turn into. |

Just got home from first Cmas trip of the season...my friggin' VCR screwed up and didn't record the show Friday. Does anyone have a copy? I would happily pay shipping if you could send me a copy!! PLEASE anyone, HELP!!! I will trade a Bulletfest CD...anything...well, almost anything.

I hope the show stays afloat. The writing is good and the actors dont' have problems fitting itnto their roles.
The biggest problem with most sci-fi series is the cost of props and sets. I think the frontier-western theme is a great way to keep prop and set costs down. |

Best show to be on t.v. in years (since the X-Files was on Fridays.)
Fox, in its infinite "wisdom" (stupidity) is moving that horrible "Fast Lane" into Firefly's time slot. Firefly was the first show I have actually enjoyed watching in years, and it gets canceled off the bat. Have the network idiots even watched the show? Don't they realize it may take a little time to catch on but that it is a QUALITY production? Maybe the cost is a little high (reported to be about $800,000/episode) but I think Fox should rethink that hard economic decision. |

Some of the threads I've seen seem to point that UPN will pick it up. Right now Buffy is uncertain as this is Gellars's last season on contract. Maybe Firefly will repalce it. Either way, Firefly is a great show. I also like John Doe, but Fastlane REALLY sucks.
Also, don't forget... Farscape resumes Jan 10!!! |
