LOL bastiat, reminds me of a great comeback I had once in undergraduate school.  This girl in the cafeteria stood up on a table and started making a big speech, championing the protesters who were making a mess of things at one of the WTO meetings (this was, I think, the first time any of us had heard of the WTO or the protesters), and I walked right in front of her on the way to dump off my trash,and she said something, I can't remember now, to the effect of "well what are you going to do to help the protesters", and I replied loudly enough that others could hear, "Well too bad those people believe in gun control or I might take them seriously.  As it is, I'm just gonna sit back and watch the government beat their ass."

It was a great moment, and I have to admit, I had thought of the line ahead of time.
