The only terrifying thing about that cache of weapons is the fate that awaits them now.

ETA: Why do they ALWAYS throw knives in the pile any time a bunch of guns gets found in someone's house? If a cache of knives isn't newsworthy, then why are they suddenly relevant when guns are found?

And remember, only a century ago their gun laws were more liberal than nearly every American State's laws are today, i.e. they had next to no gun laws in metropolitan Britain and even in a number of colonies (restrictions in colonies were principally for the natives).  One could freely keep and bear arms in the UK.  The same is true in all of the major English-speaking countries.  The situation now is rather bad.

In bright red no less, lol. I'm sure the tag is probably policy, but it sure makes me wonder about the caliber of people they seem to think will be handling that poor Bren.

Big government in the UK has its origins in WWI and the gun laws which form the basis for the laws today in the UK came in the wake of WWI.  Before that there were almost no restrictions on ownership or carry of firearms, which doesn't necessarily mean that people commonly kept or bore arms (it certainly wasn't as prevalent as in the U.S. or other English-speaking places).

I see it's always a "cache" of guns, never a collection.  Not even when it's a bunch of museum pieces.
