Am I the only one that is pissed about the lack of backbone in the Republican party over this whole Lott thing?
So much for circling the wagons, throw the ba$turd to the wolves and save your a$$ seems to be where its at for the Republicans.

Bring up the word race and everyone runs. Both parties were racist in 1948. Neither parties are now. Lott is a bad politician anyway. The only reason I don't want him to leave is it would make it 50-50 and then Chaffee would jump ship. Mitch McConnell would make a great Maj. Leader.

Lott won't resign, but he may step down from leadership. I hope he does. He has been a lousey politician ever since Republicans took the Senate. Let's let a REAL leader take his place.

I have heard for decades that we need a Republican this or that. When they get in office they do make a jellyfish look like a Great white. What good are they? We need a new system that does not elect Democrats or Republicans that only want to kiss their butts. If we had a Parliamentary system, at least a few honest men might get elected.

Dam I'm insightfull, saw a talking head on Fox news tonight, said this would have all blown over by now if the Republicfish would have stuck up for Lott early on.
