Especially 'alternative E', which would run thru Bull Run Regional Park (There has been a shooting center there for 30 years). It would be shutdown if this option was implemented.

Personally I'm opposed to building it. I don't see any proof in the 'scoping papers' that indicate a true need anyway, except for the usual "Traffic will be worse in 30 years than it is now" scare tactics.

FWIW, the commute to DC from, say Dale City is the same now as it was in 1949 (about 2 hours each way).

Get involved early.

NOVA has changed SO much in just the 5 years I've been away.  I remember when I was younger in the 80s, the traffic clogged Fairfax County Parkway was a docile, winding, two-lane country road called Hoos.  We could drive from Saratoga all th way to West Springfield without meeting a single car in the morning.  There were three or four good-sized farms too.  It's really pretty sad to have seen that once nice place turn into the carpet-bagging suburban shithole it is now.
