Who is going and how are you getting there? I'm pretty sure I'll be driving down there on the 12th.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Shot Show isnt a GUN SHOW. Unless your working for a company as a purchasing agent or your an FFL you may not be able to get in.

No bubble bursting here. If you'd have read my profile, you'd have noticed that I work at a gun shop and already have my ticket in hand. I was just wondering if anyone else was going.

Attn: All ARFOC'ers

Come see me and say "Hi".

Apologies for the shameless plug, but...

We will be releasing a new product on Thursday, Feb. 13th at 1000. Our booth number is 3101. I'm pretty sure you all will think its pretty cool.

Product is under wraps until 1000, but we are (humbly) billing it as: "The Ultimate CQB/Entry Tool"

Hey, its marketing what can I say?

I'd appreciate any comments/critiques from the AR15 crew.

See you there.

Not so.

You Don't need an FFL nor work as a purchasing agent.
This will be my second show and I'm neither of these.
After making the rounds for a couple of days, I'll meet up with my FFL on Sunday 2/16 and tell him what I want, and I'm golden.

Okay, for us ignorant newbies, when and where is the Shot Shot?

Never mind.  From shotshow.org:

February 13-16, | Orange County Convention Center | Orlando, Florida

NOTE: Only members of the trade may attend the Show,
and must provide a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL) number,
State Tax Number, or Industry Related Business Card.
No one under 16, including infants will be permitted on the Show floor.

So, who wants to give me a job? [;)]

Check this out... http://www.shotshow.org/.  I guess rules is rules, but maybe being with an FFL holder will get you in.

Edited to say:  Sorry Marvl... you posted while I was typing.

No.  Actually F-U-C-K NO.  Miz Arock is going though.  Along with the Dallas DIVAS they have a booth for Texas Women's Shooting Sports.  That will be a party.  This is my year to keep The Mutant Offspring in the kennel.

Well I know Stokes is going and I have been to the last 4.  I haven't decided for sure if I am going... about as far from here as you can get.

I hear that a C&R FFL will get you in, also.

I just registered both my dad & I for the show with my C&R FFL!  I hope to actually be in the US Border Patrol Academy by then but at least he can go.

Maybe I'll make a quick trip back that weekend....yeeeaaaaaa...that sounds like a GOOD idea!

WOOOOOO WHOOOOOOO!!!!  I'm going to the SHOT SHOW!!![:D]

HMMM didnt realize a C&R would work for this. I could probably go with some friends but if I can use my C&R that would be great!

The trick is to sign up in advance.  I have a buddy that has a gun shop and he lists me as a (ahem) part time employee.  My badge says I work for his shop.
Remember, for all practical purposes, you can't buy anything.  It is just a show to show-off the new stuff the vendors sell.  But it sure is a lot of fun.

However, unless things have changed, a few vendors will sometimes have small things (like 1911 grip safeties and such) that they might sell you.  Also, the last day they will sometimes sell stuff so they don’t have to ship it back.

However, the basic intent of vendors is to line up retailers for their products for the following year.  This is very important to them.

P.S.  If this is your first one, wear comfortable shoes – you will walk miles!!

Also, some folks like to bring a luggage cart with an open cardboard box mounted in it to toss catalogues they collect.  The trade-off is that it’s a bit awkward in crowded isles.

My first Shot Show, I picked up almost exactly 50 pounds worth of catalogs.  I learned to be more selective in future shows!

Important:  I haven’t attended a show recently, so I may be giving you dated info.  However, at the 2000 show the registration through the website was $15, the on-site registration was $100!!  I don’t see anything about the current on-site registration cost on the website; maybe someone else here has the current info.

The Shot Show is great.   Booth babes at Dillion, celebrities, good drinking buddies.  Strip clubs, casinos, hotels and car rentals.  Too bad I can't afford to go this year...

Mike, I will make it a point to come by and meet you!

There'll be no hard feelings if you happen to drop one of these in a pocket, bag, wife's purse, stuff it in a stock, hand it around my neck, shove it in... uhhh... I mean, can't wait to check it out! [=D]

Juan - Thanks man, looking forward to meeting the whole ARFCOM family. Of course there is no problem with "samples" for "the right people".

But what makes you so sure it will fit in a pocket, purse, sock or around your neck? Well, maybe around your neck, but...

This is going to be so much damn fun!

See you all there.

How did you already get your pass ? They usually don't send them out until 2wks-1mo before the show.

I'll be there!

And this time I won't be selling, we're gonna be buying! Woohah!

I need to yell at the Trijicon guys for making my wait so long for the Tripower, now that I think of it. That, and check out the new Blackhawk Modular vests and gear. And I want to ask Bushmaster to make post ban 16" Superlight barrels. And I think I'm going to harangue Springfield Armory into giving me an M1A Scout and an XD9(yeah, right).

Juan, I'm gonna find you and your entourage, too[:D]. You cannot hide!

The question posed earlier by our esteemed colleague Mr.Gunman still remains, however. Where and when shall we all meet? I am quite anxious to meet you all.
