Those emails are hilarious! You can always tell the way they write them, they don't speak English well, let alone write it. Probably some cocksucker from Nigeria-

So, is this better or worse than all the viagra ads that used to fill up my spam box? Seems like Amazon emails are a common one for spam now, as well. Whatever happened to the good old days of canadian pharmacies and cheap rolexes?

The emails are written that way on purpose.  The scammers do not want to waste their time dealing with anyone smart enough to see the scam.

How are they getting all these e-mail addresses?

Are they just bulk spamming every possible e-mail address?

They purchase email lists from company's and websites. Especially those that are going down the shitter and liquidating every asset they have.

Responding is mostly pointless outside of making yourself feel better. Spammers send from compromised mailboxes. At best some random idiot will see the response, maybe. If its not buried under 10's of thousands of bounce backs.

Fucker spammers.

There is a whole business behind collecting email addresses. Some legit, some not. Spammers get them from crawling the web, buying lists from other spammers, etc. Every time they compromise a mailbox, guess what happens to its contact list?
