dude..

thats pretty jacked up...

I've seen bikes get stolen 2 or 3...

but 50?

Man, i'm sure its easy to track though.
You'd neat a bunch of trucks/vans to heist that many in a short load of time.

If i saw someone stealin my motorcycle, they'd have 12 gauges of buck flying there way..
screw the blah kalifornia laws..i'd shoot anyway

That had to be one huge truck unless they stacked them.

Yeah...  a 48' foot Van pulled by a semi truck would allow for 4 bikes across with an 8 feet width and 6 deep...  thats only 24 four bikes.. must have been two semi's..  big balls!

Do you have a link to a news article?
I searched the local papers in Long Beach looking for it.

USNJoe, I looked for a link but couldn't find one, and I didn't see it in any of the papers this week. If this was reported in the paper at all, it would have been in the Long Beach Press Telegram.

No big deal, just follow the oil leak trail, it will lead you right to them.

That is the thing about Harley theft. The thieves know the risks involved with actually getting them running so they can make a getaway. Most Harley thieves prefer the trailer method. [:D]

Sounds plausible to me. I remember being warned to lock test bikes up very well and park in only well-lit, highly visible areas when the show used to be at the Anaheim Convention Center. Apparently, shows are like shopping malls for thieves. Still, 50 bikes? Could happen, but it wouldn't be real quick. If you're caught in the act, Muslim justice begins to make sense.[pissed]

Plausible but not probable.  Consider this:

One minute to get it off the kick stand and moving.  Three minutes to police the parts that fell off.  Two minutes to clean the oil off the truck ramp. One minute to walk back.  = 7 minutes.  7 x 50 bikes = almost 6 hours.

That's a bold statement man. I spoke with Sonny yesterday, so I can vouch that HE was nowhere near those scoots.

A good rotor lock would have slowed them down quite a bit. Combine it with your neck locked and they would have to pick it completly off the ground. Still won't stop a determined thief, but it make THEM work for it.

Is this Long Beach as in Long Beach, CA?  If so, thats where I reside.  Is this an indication of SHTF?  [;)]  Just kidding.
