What is it about this article that you find cool?
I read it. Ukraine detains illegal immigrants passing through on the way to Western Europe. Ukraine is a poor country so it doesn't spend a lot to give the illegals comfortable room and board while they're "guests". So what? What did you find interesting about this? |

Glad you read it, because the link doesn't work for me now.
It is hard to explain it completely. I am finding out a lot of things (through BBC) recently that just isn't well known, and certainly hasn't been discussed in my usual sphere of acquaintances. I imagine there are people who haven't heard of the Ukraine, and I have some good knowledge of the country now. That gives a good feeling. Specifically about the Ukraine, I believe it is an ex-Soviet state. Russia and Communism always fascinated me. Life after Communism fascinates me. |

Ever read this paper? [url]www.exile.ru[/url] Written by Americans living in Moscow. It used to be much more interesting when Moscow was like the wild west. But it's still good for a few laughs, especially the War Nerd's columns.
