Santa Rosa County. The north end of the county is getting bad right now but Im under three miles from the Gulf so its not too bad here...yet. At last light I could tell the pine tree branches were really starting to get heavy. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Never been in freshwater in a kayak. I actually run kayak charters and 90% of my trips are offshore in the Gulf. Snapper, triggerfish, cobia, grouper, sailfish, blackfin tuna, mackerel, dolphin all from a little plastic boat is a BLAST! View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I usually stay within four miles. I could/would go further I just dont need to. My most productive snapper spots are CLOSE to the beach, as in Im still grabbing wifi from the condos. These were all caught there. https://scontent-a-ord.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/t1/996827_258911407567198_1131190714_n.jpg Speaking of the Gulfstream last weekend there was a kayak sailfish tourney in Pompano Beach. I wanted to fish it SO bad but couldnt make it. Trying to hit a kayak tournament in the Bahamas in April. They will have a boat to ferry us, our yaks and gear over there, should be sweet! My favorite to this day is finding a flooded field that's frozen over think enough to support my ATV and getting going full speed then hitting the breaks and jerking it to the right and spinning like crazy. Just make sure its nice and smooth first. |

Yesterday it hit 85 when I was taking a walk along the levees, so today I went to the indoor range to stay cool.

Just make sure you get the 14 over the 12 unless the 14 is too long to store/transport. Price and weight difference is negligible at best. I have the PA14 and 3 Hobie Outbacks for clients. I would buy all PAs for my clients but after a day of fishing Im NOT dragging four 120+ pound kayaks up the beach! |
