I've been digging these lately. Expensive to buy from places complete but it's pretty cheap if you go somewhere like Michael's or Joanne's the materials are pretty cheap. I've seen some pretty badass ones.

I used to make them when I was a kid with moss and stuff, inside of plastic aquariums. Then go catch toads and salamanders and keep them in there for a while as "pets."

To be honest, the thought of making one now, to put on my desk, never really occurred to me.
