Good lord he's got 25psi at idle... Just how much do you think he needs?

Now you'll need to sell it to fill that GMC up. I'm guessing it's got at least a 25 gallon tank.

The problem is that chevy actually shows pressure on a linear scale. Ford uses a on/off style switch so as long as there's 2 psi of oil pressure then the gauge is pegged .

So, it seems his truck has about 40psi @ idle and fully warmed up. What do you think it should have?

Exactly 21 at idle,  60 cruising at 200 rpm

104 cold start.

30 at idle on a hot engine is considered very good oil pressure.

As pointed out by the OP, that's just over 20 at idle, which is really okay by GM standards.  Sorry, I don't drive one anymore, and have grown accustomed to not hearing my valve train make noise at idle like when I had my Tahoe.  Damn common rail cummins and their high standards

Serrated blade

But hey, its got XCRmonger all wet.  So there must be something good about it.

This thread was not what I expected, then I read the OP, and a page of people bitching about oil pressure.

I love this site.

Great knife OP. I have no idea what those normally run

Good deal on the knife.

I wouldn't worry about the oil pressure, mine has been that way for a long time.
