I haven't see .22 on the self in over a year, and sure as hell wouldn't turn down 36 gr, but I prefer 40 gr.

I've had better luck with 40gr. The 36gr gave me too many fliers.

Definitely prefer the 40 grain, hollow points in a .22 are a joke anyway. Has a slightly different POI too.

40 gr when shooting plates, 36gr when shooting small animals.
the 40gr just smash with one big hole, the 36gr seem to open up a bit and produce a nice thud sound when entering small carcases |

40, but I wouldn't leave 36'ers on the shelf.

I have both. I keep a varied bunch of weight around for various guns and work.
I would go 40 gr though. |
