After visiting a gun shop out here in CA yesterday, I think FTF should be the only option and gun shops should be banned. Fuck.

I've done quite a few FTF transactions.
If they look shady, to include not speaking English well...I walk. We don't get many unable-to-speak-English persons down here on the border that would legally be able to buy a firearm. |

More interesting question would have been - "Should the government have the right to tell you what you can sell and to who?"
No, and I don't give a rat's ass if an illegal (or a felon, or...) manages to buy a gun, because of it. They already do (lets not kid ourselves) and I sleep just fine, thank you very much.
If banning face-to-face transactions (sans government oversight and approval) in the name of pubic health or safety actually worked, there would be no drug trade.
It most definitely should not. I have gotten deals and given deals that way with co-workers.

If shall not be infringed meant anything nobody would ask anything. FTF or in a gun shop. If I was running things pistols would be sold in the grocery store next to the cheerios.
If you can't be trusted with a weapon you should be in prison or Mexico, I don't care which. |

Five YES's ???????????
Let's hear from the five that voted yes, I'd love to see your reasoning for that.

FTF shouldn't be banned but, I morally could not sell a firearm to someone I thought was illegal.
You can only assume within the scope of gun legislation that this applies to American Citizens.
No.
And I don't care if illegals acquire firearms. Is that intellectually honest enough for you, chief? |

The McCain/Palin platform in 2008: "Close the gunshow loophole."
The McCain 2010 Senate-race platform (Palin endorsed it): "Close the gunshow loophole." Criminalizing FtF griping sales is a popular platform for so-called conservatives... |
Of course they should be banned, there’s no way it’s safe to transfer a gun like that. You should transfer firearms by handing them to another person, not by holding them in your mouth. We are people, not dogs.

View Quote I've never gotten the sense that intellectual consistancy played much of a part in GD's deliberations. |

I had an illegal offer to buy my Mini 14 . I didn't sell it to him because he couldn't produce I'D proving he was a resident of my state. See how that works?

The should ban the face to face sales of gasoline.
Those ghost vapors can burn motherfuckers. |

Since my state just declared that voter ID restricts an individuals right to vote, I believe any form of ID needed for gun purchases and CCWs restrict an individuals right to keep and bear arms. It only makes sense doesn't it?
In short, no, they shouldn't be banned, they should be encouraged! |
