I received this note today from friends and collegues today.  Here is the note from the Marshall Center:

"To our PTSS Daily Readers:

Today we mourn the loss of our colleague, retired Marine Corps Colonel and Marshall Center Professor Andrew Nichols "Nick" Pratt. Nick died Saturday surrounded by family and friends. Most of you knew him as the leader of our counterterrorism program (PTSS), but to many he was also a true friend. We hope you'll keep his family and friends in your prayers. If you are in this email group then you already know Nick considered you his extended family.  He began the Daily as a way to keep in touch with this extended family and continue to share useful information outside the classroom. Over several years you all have been the recipients of news, discussion and commentary directly from Nick on what was his passion and life's work --  countering the global terrorism threat.  We all know Nick's work wasn't done, but he has left a legacy that will live on in all future efforts.  There is a story about Nick posted on the front page of our virtual network, GlobalNET, at https://members.marshallcenter.org <https://members.marshallcenter.org/> .  Alumni can log into GlobalNET and post comments to be shared with the entire alumni community and the family.  Non-alumni can forward any comments by reply email and we will post those to GlobalNET or share them with the family.
