I bought a pair of stag grips this weekend and put them on my Kimber. I'm getting mixed review so I thought I would put it to a poll here.

[blue] Naa!! They look pretty good. It makes your Kimber stand out from all the others. Looks fine ,leave them on.

Can you whistle "Happy Trails"? :D
Seriously, the grips are not as bad as one would imagine without seeing the photo. In the late 50s and early 60s stag was THE handgun grip. What goes around, comes around. Noah |

voted "NO"
Sorry cant tell you why.. They just dont 'look' right.. It looks "revolverish" to me. But thats just my opinion.. if YOU like it then enjoy :) |

Sir please take those off the Kimber!!!!!
Thank You a Kimber Fan[:D] |
I'm not a big fan of them, and wouldn't have put 'em on mine, but then again, you're not me, that ain't mine, and its a free country, so I say if you like 'em, that's ALL that matters. [:D]

I wouldnt buy them, but if you like them, then there ok, considering there on your gun.
I used to not like grips that served a decorative function, but I think I was wrong about that. If they work as well as regular plastic grips that came on the gun and you like them better, why not? I like them, although that deep vertical indentation with the similar vertical indentations next to it is a little distracting.
I been thinking about some of those fake ivory grips for my Colt mustang! |
I think they'd look better on a blued pistol. JHMO, though...
I told you they looked cool when you picked them up, John. I told you they looked good when you were waffling on buying them. I told you they had that "classic Colt Brushed Nickle look" to them when you put them on.
And now you start bitching about my helpful advice? Second guess my professional opinion? Act as though my input was worthless, when in the end, my feelings are the only ones that matter? I'm hurt. We're broke up, now. T. |
I like 'em.
Now all you need is a chromed WWII helmet, and you can be Patton. |

I am not voting.
[mom]If you like em then thats all that matters. Be yourself [/mom] |

not to bad. I got the adult version of that, now I know what not to put on it.[;)]
SSD |

Ugly does not quite grasp the grotesqueness of that!!
GEEEESUSSSS .....KILL it before it dies of shame... Oh BTW I voted yes. |
I like it for one reason. It's unique. I get so tired of seeing the same old song and dance all the time. However, a colored set of carbon fibers would look pretty damn cool on that Kimber.
theyd look better on a blued pistol. there isnt enough contrast with yours. needless to say, thats still a damn fine pistol [;)]

What? They were out of mutha of pearl? [;)]
Looks ok, but your hand will be wrapped around them anyway. May be a bit slippery in the summer, but can come back off, if thats the case. |
Those be PIMPING.
Go here for the hat to go with them. www.pimphats.com |

I give'd ya my opinion in my driveway... and it still stands... just something wrong with it
Teri says the colors are too light, not enough contrast between the stainless and the white, but its your fucking pistol and if you like it who cares what other people think. Jonathan |

To each his own. They don't really do anything for me, but I'm not everyone. I like the Carbon Fiber grips on mine (sorry, it's not a Kimber, or shiny like yours), I think they make it look sharp. What matters is what you think about them since it's your firearm.

Hey......your log-in name is Green Furniture.
Why in the hell are those grips not GREEN? Just kidding. If you like it, then who cares. Enjoy them. |
I usually dont go for grips like that but for some reason that setup does appeal to me...
For stag grips they are pretty clean. I think it goes well. |

Put em on a blued gun, On nickel or stainless they just don't cut it. not enough contrast mebbe, but it just ain't right.
Yup... just as I thought, they look bad. I'll take it off your hands for a couple of hundred bucks. Got to help a brother out!! :)
Dude if your ask'n they look like crap!
If you keep them you need to get a set of bull horns to bolt on the hood of a 1977 Caddy and some black and white cow hide chaps. Now thats sexy![rolleyes] |
This thread reminds me of a line in one of my favorite movies "Major League"
Ricky Vaughn: I look like a dork in these glasses. Coach Brown: I think you look fine. Besides, seeing is the most important thing. Willie Mays Hays: I don't think it's that important. |
I think they look ok. As long as you like them thats what counts!
So 59% liked it and 41% can just get some taste.
Sounds about right. |
If I could see the photo I would let you know about the Kimber!
I likes dat Big Pimpin' Hat Brotha! Big(CallMeHuggyBear!)Dozer66 |
