The 2015 Ford Bronco is coming back in 2014...power trains are rumored to be the 3.5l ecoboost, 5.0 coyote, and a 4.5l diesel, as well as a choice in manual or automatic transmissions

I see this giving the Jeep Wrangler some much needed competition.

I want one in Flat Dark Earth.

Updated high profile getaway car.

Edit: looks even boxier than a D90 or 110.

Why the full F150 wheel base?

Why four doors?

Why make it look like a Hummer or Jeep Commander?

lol, no.  The Scout is a classic.  This "thing" is not.  Kind of like an FJ Cruiser and some Transformers had sex with some cement blocks and shit out some crappy looking vehicle.

I have an 04 rubicon...I hear you.  I also think going to IRS in the Mustang is dumb (live axle greater than IRS FOR 1/4 mile)...but when you consider that the vast majority of jeeps do not go off-road, or at best are not pushed to their capabilities and are driven by people that want to look cool...YEAH, it will give the Jeep a run for its money.

They need to ditch all below the grille so aftermarket bumpers can be added.

It's probably going to be IFS, which is better for the highway but not so much for negotiating off road obstacles.

If they roll with a solid axle, it will be a direct competitor to anything Jeep has, especially with a V8 or diesel stuffed in it.

Ayup.  Never gonna happen.

IF, and that's a big IF, they release it, the production vehicle will be nothing like the concept vehicle.  They never do.

Make it look simple, clean, 2 door with a moderate lift. Please no suggestive homoerotic big bulges everywhere and big gaping grills that are all

Wish they'd bring back the Bronco II and base it off of the last Ranger. Keep the 8.8 rear. Hell I'd still take a TTB front end

Can't argue those points, but in my mind, no solid axles = no real competition for Wrangler OTHER than looks and cool factor.  But like you said, that's probably all it takes anymore.

With auto manufacturers marketing almost exclusively to women in the new car market these days......I would agree, that is probably all it takes these days.
