The Washington Post has now unveiled its “Women who made a difference in 2013.” Unsurprisingly, Texas State Senator Wendy Davis led the way, despite the fact that her 11-hour diatribe on behalf of late-term abortion had no real world impact on pro-life legislation (commentator Erick Erickson famously labeled her "Abortion Barbie"). Nonetheless, the Post celebrated Davis in glowing terms: “By leading a filibuster against an abortion bill, she inspired supporters of abortion rights nationwide – and by October, she was running for governor of the Lone Star State.”

She has a hell of a lot more support outside the state than in it.

Having said that, she doesn't have a snowball's chance in Brownsville of winning.  Oh well, at least it is a shiny object to keep the liberals busy.
