Ok, went to a thai restaurant yesterday and ordered the "Hot Pot Soup".
The waiter then set a small bowl of rice and a plate in front of me. Then came a giant pot of soup that's obviously meant to be served from, not eaten from.
WTF am i supposed to do with a plate when trying to eat soup? Going back and breaking it over the head of a little 104 year old Thai lady and screaming "Murica!!" seems like my only option at this point, but i figured I'd check with arfcom before I proceed.

The plate is so you can dish up the solid stuff out of the soup and put on the plate to eat from.

Well if i wanted that I would have just ordered a noodle dish, not a soup.
Fuck Thailand.

Just going to stick to the chocolate/aids fountain at Golden Coral from now on.

You pour the solids and broth over and into the rice.

Properly spiced the soup ought to be painful enough to need rice.

I think its acceptable to be honest and say "I'm confused, how should I eat this?", I'm sure she'd be happy to tell you.

I help customers at work everyday who don't know what they're doing/looking for, I consider it part of my job.

I worked with a guy in the Army who was a bit of a dick. He liked to make like he was so super cool.

Well we went for dinner in a Thai restaurant and he demanded chop sticks from the waiter, the waiter left went to the Chinese joint next door and came back with chop sticks . Dickhead was very quiet for the rest of the evening
