Transferring inside the company to a new division that is non union. Can't wait. Personal responsbility is great. It'll be good to be around workers who donty act like they cant be fired. That is great!! I know exactly how you feel, Unions may have used to have had a place, but not anymore. |

Congrats. I work in a shop that is non-union, yet the supervisors and Hr act as if our shop is union like the rest of the company. Therefore we are saddled with lazy, useless fucks and FMLA abusers that they are scared to confront. It's frustrating as hell.

The place where I've worked the last 18 years had an invisible union. There's no need for a worker to have one as we're protected by federal laws.
In the last year and a half to two the union has become active again and things have gone to hell with quality suffering and workers failing to keep up their quality. 
The workers who give a damn are hopefully going to call for a certification vote. |

When I worked for GM the union spent 95% of its time fighting to keep the jobs of 5% of the people working there that should have been fired 30 years ago in the first place.
